From Newport to Oahu, this is J&S’s destination wedding day. I met Sabrina 7 years ago when I photographed one of her closest friend’s weddings and she was my go-to helper throughout the day. So to say it was an absolute honor to be flown to photograph her Kualoa Ranch Wedding in Oahu is an understatement. She is one of the sweetest brides, and people, I have had the pleasure to meet. Her heart is kind and her love for J is so deep. Photographing them was another level of special.
February weather in Hawaii is temperamental at best so to say we had the most perfect day is truly a testament to the magic that this wedding was. The morning had insane rain pour but right before we started the first look, it all cleared up and the sun came out. Then we had overcast for the rest of the night, without a single other drop of rain. Truly magical!

KUALOA RANCH WEDDING IN OAHU
The morning started at the Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay. It was a slow morning with her girls, sisters, and her mom as she got ready for her wedding.
Then we made our way to the incredibly gorgeous Kualoa Ranch to see her soon to be husband!! The rest of the timeline of the day went without a hitch. First look happened with her dad and brother, and then with J. They also took this time to read their vows privately to each other. Afterwards, we transitioned into a few portraits of the two of them, into family photos and finally their wedding party. Before guests started to arrive, J&S were able to spend some quality time together and take it all in as their day went into full swing. Sabrina’s bridesmaids wore white and their guests leaned into the Hawaiin vibes and wore gorgeous colorful attire.
The ceremony space in Kualoa Ranch is jaw-droopingly beautiful. It’s a calm open grassy hill overlooking the ocean. It’s as idyllic as it sounds. Palm trees line the ceremony and the guests, on the other end is a backdrop of deep green mountains. It takes your breath way when you look around, and when you add a beautiful couple to the scene who are ready to create a union together, it really doesn’t get better than that. They’re surrounded by their most favorite people on earth in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet. What an honor it was to witness their union come together in a scene like that.
