Millwick DTLA Wedding

A June wedding day in the heart of Los Angeles set the tone for Izaac and Marcella’s celebration. They are easily one of the most stylish couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Their vibrant and easy going personalities shine through their wardrobe choices and how they show up around their family and friends. Everything about the day felt intentional, elevated, and beautiful. The details came together beautifully with their incredible planner, Danielle of Pop the Champagne . She brought their vision to life with effortless flow and impeccable design at their Millwick DTLA Wedding. The Little Branch added to the magic with lush floral installations that elevated every space. Their work complemented the venue perfectly and tied the entire aesthetic together. Good taste all around, and such an honor to be able to photograph it all for them to look back on for decades.

Marcella got ready at the Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel, which provided the perfect backdrop for the morning. The Proper Hotel LA offers rich textures, modern lines, and stunning design details throughout the space. We focused on capturing the essence of the hotel during the getting-ready portion of the day. We also utilized the lobby for detail shots and groom portraits. The hotel has strict photography guidelines, but we were lucky to gain access that day. The setting added a polished, editorial feel to the story.

Millwick is one of the six beautiful venues by Marvimon Productions, alongside SmogShoppe and Valentine. Like its sister venues, it offers both indoor and outdoor spaces that flow seamlessly together. For this Millwick DTLA Wedding, the outdoor courtyard hosted the ceremony, cocktail hour, and evening activities, including the Photo Booth. The indoor space served as the dinner reception area, offering a moody, intimate atmosphere. Light pours in at just the right moment for the detail photos, creating dramatic shadows and depth. Calling this venue photogenic feels like an understatement.

To fully utilize the space, Izaac and Marcella added Izaac’s beloved car to the front of the venue as a photo-op. The car alone made a statement, but The Little Branch transformed it with a floral installation spilling from the side window. It became the first thing guests saw when they arrived and set the tone for the celebration ahead. I’m incredibly grateful to have documented this Millwick DTLA Wedding and to preserve these memories for two truly wonderful people.
