This stunning wedding perfectly captured what a wedding is meant to be. Stefano and Rachel are beautiful and down to earth humans who brought all of their favorite people together to celebrate their union. They created a day that felt grand yet deeply intimate. A stunning estate, flower-filled vases, intricate details, and an immense amount of joy and love came together to create an unforgettable San Juan Capistrano wedding. S&R officially married the day before during a church ceremony at the Mission San Juan Capistrano. They hosted their estate wedding the following day at Rachel’s mom’s home. Friends and family traveled from all over the world to celebrate with them. Vibrant colors, rich textures, and thoughtful details came together effortlessly throughout the day. The first time I met Stef & Rachel in person was over coffee (matcha) about two weeks before their wedding day because they had been planning it abroad from the moment they booked me. We bonded over our love for nature and animals (especially Grizzly Bears and Humpback Whales — what are the odds!!). We connected so naturally I was beyond excited for their wedding. Photographing their wedding weekend was an absolute honor.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO WEDDING ESTATE
The design of the day, aside from the beautiful couple, completely blew us all away. Stefano and Rachel held their ceremony in a cobblestone courtyard featuring a hand-built stage. Lush vases overflowed with vibrant floral arrangements surrounding them, while the stage sat partially over the pool. Flowers hung above the guests as the sun poured in and the lovebirds read their vows. The moment felt straight out of a film—jaw-droppingly beautiful and grand, yet deeply intimate at the same time. They hosted cocktail hour on the basketball court (you’d never guess it was a court thanks to the incredible décor). Rugs covered the floor, a champagne wall stood, and a full bar set the tone to invite guests.
The LouJune Designs team beautifully curated the reception space as well. Well, they did it all but this deserves a shout out because it was a space I’ll dream of forever. Marble vases carved like faces, a gelato stand, a coffee bar, a welcoming dance floor with bistro lights, a Photo Booth, and a millefoglia cake filled the space with special details. The setting felt magical and perfectly designed for dinner, dancing, and sweet treats. The night wrapped up with an after-party that brought its own unforgettable vibes.
