CARONDELET HOUSE WEDDING WITH COLOR & LIVE BAND
Z+M went about this day in a way that is so true to them. This Carondelet House Wedding had a healthy amount of bride and groom portraits. Although it was mid-November, the day could not have been more beautiful. After their first look, my sweet couple read their vows to each other. We had so much time that we were also able to go around the venue together before family photos. It was such a treat to be able to photograph them in all the nooks and crannies the Carondelet House offers — there’s many! They chose the venue particularly because they really loved the essence of it all. They wanted to prioritize portraits and so we did just that! After their ceremony, we went up to the rooftop parking lot next door for a few sunset portraits as well. It was a great way to transition into their reception.
They really leaned into color for their flowers of the ceremony and reception details. Behind their ceremony area, the mirror, was filled on both sides with colorful florals. A velvet purple runner, green napkins, candles, and pink, yellow, and orange flowers adorned the reception tablescapes. Z+M sat with their people in the center of one side of one of the long tables. The night kicked off with their first dance in front of the live band and everyone then danced the night away.

CARONDELET HOUSE WEDDING WITH TAXIDERMY & BEIGNETS
There are a million ways to host a wedding day. My beautiful couple D+A went about it in the most authentic way to them, and it came out to be one of the coolest weddings ever. They really dove into the moodiness of the venue. They had taxidermy! Beautiful flowers. And velvet linen for the reception tablescapes. They had a beignet stand for their guests after dinner AND a tarot card reader on-site. It was just, FUN. It was beautiful and unique and so much fun to photograph and be part of.
A got ready at the Hotel Per LA, so that’s where all the detail photos took place. They continued the morning in the Carondelet House getting-ready suite. After the sweet ceremony, which was officiated by A’s brother, the reception space came to life. They had a sweetheart table with a bobcat taxidermy right up front and center. It was such a statement piece and truly the neatest thing I’ve ever seen. The tables were adorned with both flowers and other pieces of taxidermy from bones and skulls to owls, ducks, and an armadillo. It was a gloomy and rainy day instead of sunset photos, D+A joined cocktail hour with their people.
They danced the night away after dinner time. Scroll to see this stunning day. Here are the incredible vendors that brought it all together:
