If you want a simple yet beautifully laid out venue for your wedding, look no further than The Harper Wedding Venue. This was a pretty-much perfect day. My couple, like many others, had to postpone their day due to COVID but they somehow pulled it off with an incredible team of vendors and the best attitude. And they are such kind and the most down to earth humans. It was easy to fall in love with them and the details they chose for their wedding. The day was perfect from the start. It started with a first look with the best weather conditions to mochi donuts as their night time desert (my oh my are they my new favorite things). The day fell into place beautifully.
Anyway, although their wedding was postponed it definitely wasn't the easiest time to coordinate it all. Coryn is a badass Olympian and she planned her wedding while at the World Championships. JUST IMAGINE THAT. She walked into her day smooth sailing. I was hired about a month prior, we booked their engagement session a week before and I scouted for their first look location a few days before that. It was the most exhilarating week. Their first look was at the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve. It was intimate and the location fit the mood so well, it was a bright and sunny day and my couple glowed.
The Harper Wedding
Their ceremony took place at a church -- which I did not include photos of here. Then their reception was held at The Harper. I've photographed in this venue a few times and it never gets old. It's lovely in every way. The getting-ready rooms are both beautiful and have their own styles. The outdoor space is normally used as a ceremony area and it's an open spot with a little stage. During this day it was transformed into a lounge area. And a corn hole was put outside too. The indoor space is the reception with the prettiest wall of mirrors where the sweetheart table is usually placed. All around, it's a lovely venue. And so here it is, a beautiful Sunday in October.
