The Harper is such a beautiful wedding venue. And this The Harper Wedding was a totally classic take on a beautiful day. The venue is located in Orange County, CA which is in Southern California. It’s both a perfect venue for an indoor or outdoor wedding. If you and your partner are minimalists at heart, it’s definitely worth your time to take a look at this post. I second shot this beautiful day for Wilson Oh.

        Getting Ready at The Harper

The bride got ready with her sisters and bridesmaids in the most beautiful suite. One of my favorite parts of this venue is actually the bridal suite. The room has white walls with very elegant paintings hung all around. But, the best part is the wall that’s entirely a window. This brings in so much natural light, which is perfect for photos!

We used this space to take bridal portraits as well as the bride getting ready with her sister and bridesmaids. The bride also spent some alone time reading a letter from her husband, it was very beautiful and sweet.

Similarly, the groom got ready with his boys in the groom’s suite. It is very much a “man cave.” The groom’s suite has dark accents all around with dark blue walls. As a result, this really brings in a masculine energy to the area. Although it was dark, it was absolutely beautiful too and a great space for photos. Though I did not have the opportunity to photograph the groom and his boys this time around.

        The First Look

The couple decided to do a first look in the little courtyard right outside of the bridal suite. This was a great decision for them because they were able to spend some alone time before the day came together with everyone else. It also gave them an opportunity for more bride and groom portraits.

        The Harper Wedding

The outdoor ceremony area has trees in the background, providing a very Secret-Garden-Feel. Obviously, I’m a big fan of greenery, this venue checks the box! It has a mini stage right in front of those trees, that’s where the ceremony is held. In front of the stage is a wide open space, this is where seats are put for the guests. This set up is absolutely beautiful and minimal in every way. It’s straight to the point, but visually pleasing too.

On another note, one of my favorite parts of a wedding day are the meaningful and cultural traditions that are implemented in each. During this day, the couple had a few key traditional parts of a Korean wedding ceremony. One included bowing and thanking their parents. It was an absolutely beautiful and emotional moment.

        The Harper Wedding Reception

The reception space is a big open area inside. You can definitely do your ceremony indoors too (or switch it up and do your reception outside as well). The possibilities really are up to you! During this specific day, it was a little cloudy and there was a chance of rain. So naturally, the reception is indoors.

The reception area has a wall of mirrors behind where the sweetheart table sits. I thought that was a very neat way to make use of that wall. During the reception, the couple had the traditional father/daughter and mother/son dances. The father daughter dance was particularly special and fun! A neat twist to this wedding day was the ice-cream truck!! It was so sweet to have that added towards the end of the night. I know the guests really enjoyed it.
