This has been one of my favorite weddings. A garden wedding will almost always take the cake for me. It started mid-day and it was very sunny but still beautiful. Their South Coast Botanic Garden Wedding was perfection. Birds chirped during the ceremony. Erica's wedding dress was one passed down to her from her grandmother, and it was worn by her mother on her wedding day. The wedding day was sentimental and sweet from the very beginning. Erica's shoes were also pink! That alone was such a beautiful little detail that you don't normally see.
SOUTH COAST BOTANIC GARDEN WEDDING
The South Coast Botanic Garden Wedding started in the South Coast Botanic Garden Amphitheater. To the natural sounds that emit from the garden, the ceremony took place. Ideally, the ceremony would begin about an hour or 1.5hrs before sunset time (exact time of course will change depending on the season). Although it was still beautiful, during this day the ceremony started mid-day causing a harsh sunlight on the couple and dark shadows on the guests.
After the ceremony, we photographed the bride and groom portraits in the surrounding garden, we utilized pockets of shadows. Then, we headed to Elk's Lodge for the reception.
